Week 1

 The first week of the internship was a little bit busy. I had my first class at 8A and 9A in this week also the second class too. At 9A I resumed the portions coming after 'Photosynthesis' from chapter 'Protectors of Biosphere.' The topics I took in this week included 'After Photosynthesis' and  'Ocean at par with land, Plant- Earth's wealth.' The topics were the concluding parts of that chapter. So I focused on ways to conclude the chapter effectively. I used ICT integrated learning strategy and it was effective. The portion also included oceanic pollution and its ill effects on life. So I included some conscientization points and a video too. I wasn't able to implement much activities but ICT was effective on the students. 

Then in the next classes I started the new chapter  'Food Through Digestive Tract.' There, I implemented Concept Attainment Model (CAM), to introduce the topic 'Human Digestive Sytem.' I was able to pique the interest of the students using this different learning strategy. I integreated ICT to implement CAM & it was a great duo for the learning environment. Their teacher, also my consent teacher, Reena teacher of 9A was a great support to me. She guided me to the class and also gave me whole picture of that class. 

At 8A, I was assigned to start the 2nd chapter- 'Cell Clusters.' The teacher in charge of Biology at 8A was Soumya teacher. She also gave me a good picture of the class and the children. It helped me to implement various ways to make the class effective. I gave them a good introduction of the new chapter and the portions I took in this week includes 'Animal Tissues,' 'Tissues and Stem cells,' & 'Connective Tissues.' Both of them guided me to the classroom and helped me with the class. The class went smoothly. The students were cheerful and active during and throughout the class. It was really good.

While teaching Animal Tissues I used Innovative aid that made the learning more fun and easier for the students.

Within this week, @22nd I had my first observation from my class teacher- Mrs Shiney Jacob. She observed my class at 8A while I was teaching  'Connective Tissues', & gave me good suggestions to further improve my skills. Teacher suggested that I should improve my blackboard skill and that the rest of the skills are good

The week were also flooded with subsitution duties. We were assigned with duties at 2nd standards and many other UP, High School sessions. It was great interacting with small children. It was also a great chance for us to learn class management and patience. Those children were our scaffolders to reach our goals, to reach our dream profession. It was fun interacting with them and we also learned a lot from them too. 

On 17th June, the school implemented 'vayanakalari' by Malayala Manorama. It was officially inaugurated by Assistant Collector Riya Singh & Sajan Veloor, Prime Builder's Managing Director. 

On June 19th the school celebreated the Reading Day by some activities class wise and conscientization programmes lighting up the importance of reading for students.

On 23rd June, the school held an inaugural ceremony of their Arts & Literary Club, which was inaugurated by Musician Jazzy Gift.
