18/02/2022- SCHOOL INDUCTION PROGRAM DAY 2: "Efthalia"
On to the 2nd day of the induction program. Everyone had one class each to observe today. For the time being, we took some time to explore their class magazines. It was mind blowing..I mean, one can't tell that magazine was done by the children of 14-17year old. It has everything that is needed for a perfect magazine. We were really impressed with the wide different varieties of topics they chose to make the magazine beautiful. Among the bunch of magazines we read, 'Efthalia' really grabbed our attention. The term is a Greek-born one which means 'bloom', 'goodness', 'beginning of something new' etc..to the point!
We Natural Science, got a period during the afternoon hour at 11th standard class. The teacher took the class about 'Heart, it's characteristics & about cardio-vascular system.' The class was soo good and extremely better with the help of the apt usage of smartboard usage which included presentation too. The teacher repeatedly explained every points since the topic was a little bit difficult for the children to understand where she repeatedly drew the simplified diagram of heart and marking the regions with different colors. Overall the class was interesting. Since the class was just before lunchbreak the students were a bit tired..probably hungry. Still the teacher livened up the class with her presentation on screen and asking questions randomly. When the class ended we asked the teacher for a little time for an interaction with the class. After getting the permission we'd done a quick introduction and some casual talk with them. I must say this the smartboard usage were really interesting. The thing can reduce the dust problems that usually cause some health issues to the people as well as the app they use in smart board have so many interesting things to show. It alone can get the attention of the whole class to the track.
We asked the teachers to give us a brief about the smart board they use and its characters. They gladly
