Fourth day: Orientation class 3

 Benedict sir nourished the class by providing us valuable information about what its truly meant to be a 'mentor.' Sir taught us the qualities that we should posses while we become a mentor. Some of them are: Continuous reviewing of ourselves 

Continuous professional development

Should be able to create an emotionally conductive atmosphere

Roles for being the "Social engineers."

and the most important point to notice- 'Before you teach your students, learn your learners'

                                                             - 'Before you touch the brain of your student, touch their                                                                              heart.' 



Towards the end of the session, sir also gave us an interesting activity to work on; which is to draw any possible things with the numbers 2 and 4.

During Joju sir session, Kavya sang a beautiful song. Just wow! Such beautiful voice the girl have and soo soothing to listen. 😍







Maya teacher filled the class with different views and points about education and how it can alter the behavior of an individual to a positive turn and the 3 levels of that change that included Affective, Cognitive and Psychomotor levels.
She also quoted a famous quote said by Socrates that goes "Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events and weak minds discuss people."

 Our first ever teaching internship had begun today. What we learned for over this one year is going get into its practical form and we are all excited as well as a little tensed. The school I was scheduled into was GHSS for girls Peroorkada. A total of 13 students from all the 6 optionals were selected to do the teaching practice here. We arrived at the school at 9am. There was an open assembly at the school today at 9.15am. We attended the assembly as well. Today's assembly were hosted by the students from 6B. It included prayer, news, thought for the day, new year song and Principal's message. The whole assemble was systematic and time bound.  After that some of us went to their respective classes in their respective hours after marking our attendance. I didn't had my class hour today. Week 2 @ SV

 The week was busier than the 1st week. We were able to get into the track of  an intern. We had our classes in accordance with the time table and took them accordingly.  This week had 2 holidays on 28th and 29th (Bakrid), where I lost my only two classes of the week. So I prepared my lesson plans and planned my project. Other than that I had substitutions to attend to. 26th of June is The International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking (or World Drug Day),  and the students conducted a flashmob announcing the ill effects of drug abuse.  We, the interns conducted a conscientization program for the students about the importance of the day and about the ill effects of drug. We also conducted a poster making competition & slogan writing competition on the LP & UP sessions we got substituted to and conscientized about the day.

23rd Dec 2021: It's Christmas @MTTC!!

 It was the first Christmas for us new MTTCians and it was worth remembering for! The students were all busy as the bees, preparing the things for the day, completing several tasks for the competition arranged by some associations, practicing for the carol songs and dance, buying Christmas hats and taking tons of photos and all. After a little wait the program started at 11 and we all assembled at the auditorium and when the guests arrived we welcomed them with a warm round of applause. The event started with a prayer and then the venue was able to receive a good Christmas message from our chief guest Rev. Fr. Jolly Karimpal. Then Father lead the ceremony to cut the Christmas cake with our Principal Benedict sir and Fr. Thomas Kayyalakkal.  After that we sang our Christmas carol song together.
